I'm going to post t...I couldn't agree more! I'm going to post this around in hopes more people will see it. Here in Indiana a few months ago there were two different incidents on people abandoning their horses. When the authorities caught them, both owners said they turned their horses loose in hopes they would be rescued. They said they turned the horses loose rather than selling them at an auction because they knew they would probably go to slaughter. Isn't that AWFUL? Their horses WERE rescued, but if they had known where to turn, they could have given the horses to the rescue in the first place.

This is not the only story I've heard about owners turning horses loose rather than have the kill-buyers get them. I would do the same if I had no other choice. A living horse has a chance. A horse in the kill box has NO chance. We MUST get slaughter outlawed!MorganLvrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04021821392458127270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7080870652015044548.post-75881327926783643152012-02-21T14:55:05.988-05:002012-02-21T14:55:05.988-05:00I think this is a good idea and needs more adverti...I think this is a good idea and needs more advertisement in the public sector. If more people knew what they were doing there might not be so many unwanted or uncared for horses. They should also expand this to educate people about why "not" to breed indiscriminately.Grey Horse Mattershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05837575441967937196noreply@blogger.com
