You can see coverage of the protests so far at http://tuesdayshorse.wordpress.com/2010/10/25/sacramento-wild-horse-and-anti-slaughter-rally-in-pictures/

I know that many people just don't understand how extremely inhumane "assembly line" slaughter is for creatures as intelligent and sensitive as horses. They don't know about the horrific transport conditions either. And then there is the incontrovertible fact that American horses aren't safe to eat because they are exposed to so many chemicals that are banned in food animals.

There are so many well heeled pro-slaughter people that it's SO difficult to get legislation passed. ONE person on a committee can block a bill from ever even coming to a vote. Something else that needs to be changed!MorganLvrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04021821392458127270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7080870652015044548.post-33454923363076349972010-10-23T18:49:09.160-04:002010-10-23T18:49:09.160-04:00I'd love to make it to one of these protests, ...I'd love to make it to one of these protests, because I think the more aware people become of the situation the more support the horses will get. I hope they all get good turnouts.Grey Horse Mattershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05837575441967937196noreply@blogger.com
